Halloween and Baptism....

Wow, this is the exact reason why it's important to do weekly blogs in my book....so much has happened and I've forgotten most of what I wanted to share with everyone! Since last blog, life has become even more exciting....Noa's almost sitting up on her own, and everyday is filled with new adventures! It seems like one morning Noa woke up and was no longer a newborn...but a baby!! Not only is she almost sitting up on her own, she's reaching for toys and playing with them as well!!

It seems as though she talks back and forth with you, and her short screams (eventhough they are still there) have evolved into the cutest little laughs!! At her four month visit doc said to go ahead and start her on trying solids! We were a little hesitant at first, everywhere we read said no solids until 6 months....but she's so alert and sharp we knew it was time! This was such an exciting milestone, eventhough this meant more wiping of mouths, cleaning bibs and bumbo trays! So, Mom and Dad rushed to buy our baby some fruit! Mom's making the veggies herself at home...and pat on my back, Noa seems to enjoy the veggies more than the fruit! As of right now, her favorites are green beans, carrots and prunes....that's right, I said PRUNES! She also enjoys mornings of oatmeal with bananas mixed in!

On October 11, we had Noa Christened into the Catholic Church! It was such a wonderful moment and blessed memory, Mom couldn't help but cry of course! Daddy got to hold our cutie pie as she was baptized, and Aunt Amber and Papa Tim were the proud Godparents! There to help us share in our happiness were Meemaw and Jim, of course Nana Kendra, Aunt Crystal, Uncle Kenny, Cousin Ella, Great Aunt Mary, Great Uncle Mike, The Jones', and our wonderful friends Jeff, Leigh, and their cutie pie Aidan! Leigh is a fantastic photographer (Leigh Bedokis Photography 618-985-6016) and photographed the Christening....what wonderful pics! What a WONDERFUL DAY!!

October was another special month for us....it was Noa's first Halloween. And what would Halloween be for Miss Thing without at least a wardrobe change...or should we say costume change! The first costume was that of a giraffe, something Aunt Amber got for her, then the official costume was that of a Ladybug!...What a cutie pie!

Noa went to stay with Nan and Pop tonight, and tomorrow, Mommy and Daddy are going to put the Christmas Tree up to kick off the holiday season. We can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees the lights and the ornaments! We are even more excited for our baby's first Christmas, and also first Thanksgiving! The Lord has truly blessed our little family!!
